Orchestrating a flow of spaces to reflect our client’s distinctive lifestyle, we conceived the plan around a large stage area for rehearsals.  Behind the stage are private areas for sleeping, bathing, and working as well as the stair that accesses the penthouse.  In front of the stage are multiple lounge areas, a bar, media space, and garden accented by a pair of linear fireplaces. Areas for eating and entertaining are defined by the intersection of a walkway evoking a runway, lined with landing lights. There was no need for guest bedrooms, and the rarely used, minimal kitchen was placed in an alcove behind a large sliding insulated wall. A 400 sq ft penthouse with hot tub and sauna provides access to an urban rooftop garden and quiet non-media space.
